What do you get the greatest athlete her sport has ever seen when Grand Slam titles, money, fame, a clothing line, and endorsements fill her resume?
You’d get Serena Williams a congratulatory card.
The 35-year-old record-breaking tennis champion announced to the world back in April that she was pregnant with her and fiance, Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian’s first child.
The announcement came three months after Williams won her 23rd Grand Slam title, the Australian Open, eight weeks pregnant.

Last month, Williams got into a little hot water after an excerpt from her interview with Stellar Magazine went viral due to, Williams sharing how she personally felt about being pregnant.
“I have so much respect for so many women [for giving birth],” Williams told Stellar Magazine. “I am about to be a real woman now, you know? It’s going to be something incredibly impressive to go through.”
Some people just want to be Internet-outraged over something. Smh.

Serena actually gave birth on Sept. 1, but waited nearly two weeks to share a photo of her beautiful baby girl with the world.
Considering Texas was trying to pick up the pieces from Hurricane Harvey, followed by Florida (where Serena lives) and the Caribbean’s own devastation caused by Hurricane Irma, Williams and Ohanian showed class by holding off on the announcement.
But it was worth the wait!

The journey of Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr. (How’s that for Serena not standing up for women? 💪 ) was also featured on a YouTube video, which Serena posted to her official site, entitled “Hello, World.”
The video shares the story of the tennis champion’s pregnancy and they may have added the most subtle humblebrag of all time at the very end.
