Even as recently as 30 or 40 years ago, families had little option for members sporting abnormally large features or fur covering their entire body. Now, we are more enlightened, if not completely devoid of those strange or shocking physical abnormalities. Take the case of Arun Rajasingh. Born with a rare syndrome which sees his extremities grow at alarming and asymmetrical rates, it’s something he has lived with since he was a child.
And This Is His Leg
Five years ago, the situation worsened, and when he was finally diagnosed, his legs had already become massive. Right now, one of them weighs as much as a healthy adult male – almost 220 pounds. That’s right – it’s so big, he can barely walk. He is now virtually housebound, requiring a specialized wheelchair to get around and a customized van to go into town. Naturally, he cannot afford either and has been trying to raise funds to but them.
