Lost to natural causes in the comfort of his home where he has spent the majority of his golden days-Hugh Hefner has passed away.

The Legendary publisher entrepreneur and of course founder of the groundbreaking and oh-so risque , Playboy Magazine.

Hefner’s adventure with Playboy Magazine began over 60 years ago. Determined to live his best life, surrounded by beauty and luxury all while making other’s dreams come true-the famous Playboy accomplished that and much more in his 91 years.

Hefner is undoubtedly responsible for the mainstream spread of nearly nude magazine spreads and the overall acceptance of sex appeal for mass consumption-with style and grace, of course.

Cooper Hefner, Hugh’s son and Playboy Enterprises’ chief creative officer, released a statement after news of his father’s passing broke:

“My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom.

He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognizable and enduring in history.”
