Honestly, most adults do, too, right? Have you ever noticed how many grownups show up at the zoo without little ones in tow?
Before children grow up to learn that some of their favorite animals aren’t all the popular Disney characters they see and can actually be dangerous, they’re having tea parties with stuffed lions and bears.
Obviously, they would never be able to do this in real life.
However, as kids begin to understand that giraffes and elephants are wild animals that you really can’t invite to your birthday party, the love they’ve developed for these exotic creatures usually stays with them as they become adults.
