Ever since the release of ‘Straight Outta Compton’ there has of course, been an exceptional amount of hype over the “creators of hip-hop as we know it”, the popular crew; N.W.A .
In 1986 Eazy-E, a tenth grade dropout and notorious dope boy joined the likes of Arabian Prince, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube as the original members of N.W.A.
It was over the next 8 years or so, that these guys paved the way for “gangsta rap” among the mainstream, taking hip-hop from the underground to rising popular sound.
Eazy and the rest of the crew made a mark on the music industry forever. N.W.A. played a huge role in the evolution of hip-hop.
Sadly, after Ice Cube began rising to success on his solo projects the group began drifting and would finally dissolve after the untimely death of Eazy-E due to complications with AIDS.
Eazy left behind 7 children which he fathered with 6 different women. His daughter Erin Wright, was just 4-years-old when her legendary father lost his life.
More than just “The Godfather of Gangsta Rap”, Eazy-E was a Dad. Unfortunately for the late rapper’s family, they would never get to experienced growing up with one of the biggest names in rap.
How strange it must be to learn about your father in movies.
