Child sexual abuse and assault is more common than you might think. The effects that these druel crimes have on those children who experience the abuse on any level can be detrimental, having a lasting effect on their mind, body, and soul.

Recent statistics show shocking number of children involved in sexual abuse cases. With more and more data being released and children coming forward with their stories, more and more kin-hearted adults are getting involved where they can. Putting an end to this incredible unjust has become a priority for many, including actor, Ashton Kutcher.

In 2009, Kutcher and his now ex-wife, Demi Moore, founded Thorn: Digital Defenders of Children.

Created to help eradicate child abuse and human trafficking this program aids via police partnership-ultimately helping to identify abusers.

The project has been more than successful, helping to save around 6,000 children and counting, from abuse.
